Nigeria’s Association of Resident Doctors have threatened to embark on a nationwide strike if the hazard allowances and minimum wage shortfall being owed Doctors by Nigeria’s Federal Government is not paid.
The National President of the Association Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi spoke to newsmen in Abuja Nigeria’s Federal capital, saying the association is worried about the continuous neglect of Doctors by Nigeria’s Federal government, which has resulted in the regular migration of Doctors out of the country.
Okhuaihesuyi blames the Federal government for refusing to invest in the nation’s health sector and also refusing to pay outstanding salaries and allowances being owed resident Doctors.
