In Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial centre, the All Progressives Congress (APC) will host its final presidential campaign rally on Tuesday.
The Publicity Secretary of the APC Lagos State Chapter, Hon. Seye Oladejo, made the announcement in a statement.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who would preside over the APC Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, is anticipated to attend the rally at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.
APC National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu, PCC Director General and Governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong, all APC State Governors, National Assembly members, and other prominent party figures are also anticipated.
“The rally will bring to a befitting climax the campaign, which has seen Asiwaju traverse all the nooks and crannies of the country, selling his “Renewed Hope” manifesto,” the statement read.
“The event has been put together to showcase the traditional hospitality of Lagosians and underscore the tremendous support enjoyed by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu not only as the founder of modern Lagos but also celebrate him as the hero of our nascent democracy.”
The state government has put in place strong measures, according to the Lagos APC spokesman, to guarantee that citizens’ routine everyday activities are not interfered with.
He claims that extra care has been taken to secure the security and safety of attendees and supporters in order to make the event run smoothly.
According to Oladejo, the Ministry of Transportation will issue a travel advisory to help locals and visitors plan their routes around the city.
The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has urged Lagos residents to give Tinubu a raucous welcome, he continued.
