At a forum on Monday called “Conversation with the Vice President and Young People,” which was organised by his Liberian counterpart Jewel Howard-Taylor, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was a Special Guest of Honor.
Osinbajo’s media assistant, Laolu Akande, said that the Vice President left Abuja for Monrovia on Monday morning for his one-day trip to the West African country. He also had a private meeting with Liberian President George Weah.
According to Akande, the forum was a part of celebrations honoring Howard-60th Taylor’s birthday.
A small group of 400 young leaders were chosen, and Osinbajo and other West African leaders talked with them and shared some ideas.
Osinbajo was accompanied by Mariam Uwais, the Special Adviser to the President on Social Investment, and Ramatu Aliyu, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory.
This is coming after Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari departed for Mauritania to receive a Peace Award in Nouakchott.
