A bus crash in KwaZulu-Natal has killed at least 9 persons after it overturned on the R33 near Paulpietersburg on Sunday morning.
According to authorities, at least 70 others were injured. Emergency teams and paramedics have been deployed to the scene to help with rescue operations.
On Saturday, the African National Congress (ANC) held its manifesto launch at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The bus was said to be loaded with ANC supporters heading home after the event.
Police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe said:
“Police and various emergency services are on the scene of a bus accident on the R33 between Vryheid and Paulpietersburg in KwaZulu-Natal.”
