The Kaduna State Government has denied reports of a suicide bomb attack along the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Wednesday.
Debunking the rumours via a statement, the overseeing commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said, “Our attention has been drawn to reports being circulated, alleging the occurrence of a suicide bomb attack or a similar incident along the Kaduna-Abuja Road.”
The Ministry said there was no such attack on the road, adding that security forces and intelligence personnel overseeing the area are in touch with the government.
It was stated in the report that news of such an incident was fallacious.
It also explained that security agencies stationed along the Kaduna-Abuja highway monitor and sustain the full engagement of all protocols to secure citizens and commuters.
