Rasaq Olokoba, a Public Affairs Analyst said nobody would touch the Former CBN Governor Emefiele if he got the President’s approval for Naira Swap. Rasaq made this assertion while appearing on Thursday’s edition of Breakfast Central, a show on News Central Television.
He said ‘Nobody will touch Emefiele if he got the Presidential approval, Nobody will harass him’.
‘The President can be easily distracted, the way it is being structured. because he has numerous responsibilities. Emefiele may get approval but the President will feel ignorant because of the level of work the President is doing in this country’.
‘Emefiele needs to prove that he got the approval from the president. But currently it will be difficult for him to do that because then the Minister for Finance came out saying she is not aware of the Naira swap. That is an administrative error.’
‘The Minister for Finance is the Minister for our Economy, so if the Minister is not aware of it, it is not too good for Emefiele. If the Minister is not aware it endangers the position that the former President Muhammadu Buhari is aware of the Naira swap/ Naira Redesign’.
