The Nollywood community is mourning the tragic passing of actress and entrepreneur Sharon Okpamen. Fellow actor and film producer Stanley Ontop shared the news of her death in an Instagram post on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Sharon Okpamen, who was also a respected producer, was well-known in the Edo entertainment industry for her acting talent and philanthropic efforts.
“Nollywood Actor and Producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on.
“It’s a sad day for Nollywood & the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur& humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry.
“May her soul rest in perfect peace, Amen @sharonokpamen
“It can only get better,” Stanley’s post read.
While Stanley Ontop did not specify the cause or timing of Sharon Okpamen’s death, a review of her official Instagram page reveals that she gave birth around three weeks ago.
A post by @EdoOnlineTelevision on July 31, 2024, announced that Okpamen had welcomed a new baby with her husband. However, Sharon herself did not share any updates about the birth, leading to speculation that she might have encountered complications following the delivery.
