Operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested a suspected vote buyer during the ongoing Ondo State Governorship election on Saturday.
As seen in a video circulating online, the male suspect, believed to be in his 40s, was stopped by DSS personnel while driving a Toyota Camry.
Upon searching his vehicle, the operatives discovered two bags of cash and a cutlass in the trunk. Despite his attempts to deny any knowledge of the items, the DSS promptly took the suspect into custody.
The DSS officers are among the security forces deployed across Ondo to ensure a peaceful election process.
