A total of 146,129 candidates commenced the baccalaureate exam on Wednesday for the main session expected to end June 23.
The results will be announced on July 4 and the re-sit session will be held on July 6, 7, 8 and 9. The final results will be announced on July 17.
Minister of Education Fethi Sellaouti said that the number of candidates for this exam is the highest since 2008 (165 thousand), pointing to an increase of 12 thousand candidates compared to last year.
In a press conference held last Monday, the Minister assured that educational staff and students in all examination centres will adhere to coronavirus safety measures, adding that as part of the exceptional measures adopted to prevent spread of infection, the number of candidates in each hall will be 15 students.
Special arrangements have been made for 27 special needs candidates.
