Reports say over 2,000 homes have been destroyed by the flood in many communities in Talata Mafafa local government area of Zamfara State.
The affected communities are Morai, Talata Mafara town, and Ruwan Gora, among others.
Confirming the incident, the Executive Secretary of Zamfara State Emergency Management Agency(ZEMA), Ahmed Bala Gusau, described the situation as unfortunate.
Reassuringly, the ZEMA boss, speaking through the Director, Disaster Management and Control of the Board, Mr. Hassan Usman Dauran, pledged the unwavering commitment of the state government to the victims, promising to take all necessary actions.
