Over 300 Nigerians Evacuated from Libya

In a collaborative effort between the Nigerian Government and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), 327 stranded Nigerians, including individuals released from detention facilities in Tripoli, Libya, have been successfully evacuated, as reported by Libya Update.

Ambassador Kabiru Musa, the Chargé d’affaires En Titre of the Nigerian Mission in Libya, shared this information in a statement provided to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.

The evacuation process involved 165 Nigerians who were released from detention facilities in Tripoli, while the remaining individuals were stranded in the country, according to the report.

The repatriation occurred in two separate batches, with evacuees departing from Tripoli International Airport and Benina International Airport in Benghazi on Tuesday evening.
