Pakistan to Host African Trade Conference in Cairo to Strengthen Economic Ties

Pakistan is set to host the Pakistan-Africa Trade Conference in Cairo, Egypt, to enhance economic relations and collaboration. The conference, including the fourth Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference (PATDC) and Single Country Exhibition (SCE), is a significant step for Pakistan, with over 100 companies participating and more than 200 Pakistani businessmen exploring opportunities in various sectors such as textiles, engineering goods, food and agriculture, and services.

This event, taking place from Tuesday to Thursday, marks the first occasion for Pakistan to bring a substantial number of companies to Egypt. The participation of over 150 businessmen and chamber representatives from the Middle East and North African (MENA) region is expected to further strengthen commercial ties with Pakistan.

The initiative aligns with Pakistan’s “Look Africa” policy, which has previously shown success in South Africa’s Johannesburg, Nigeria’s Lagos, and Kenya’s Nairobi, generating substantial commercial benefits for Pakistan. The conference aims to foster collaboration and trade partnerships between Pakistan and African nations, contributing to the economic development of both regions.
