President Bola Tinubu has reassured Nigerians that his administration would provide palliatives to mitigate the impact of fuel subsidy removal.
During a courtesy visit from the Class of 1999 Governors, Tinubu emphasised that his decision was made in the country’s best interest and to secure future prosperity.
He appealed for patience, promising increased efforts to alleviate the pains caused by the subsidy removal. Tinubu also pledged to establish a fool-proof social security structure to ensure that cash transfers reach the intended recipients, expressing his desire for Nigeria’s rebirth and prosperity.
Additionally, he highlighted the importance of national unity and the responsibility of his administration to lead the country in the right direction. Tinubu acknowledged that external entities cannot solve Nigeria’s challenges and affirmed his commitment to democracy, unity, equity, stability, and prosperity.
