Paul Kagame, the president of Rwanda, has chosen his daughter to a crucial role in his administration.

According to a statement from a cabinet meeting that President Kagame presided over on Tuesday, Ange Kagame, 29, has been appointed the deputy executive director in charge of the strategy and policy council.

Other appointments, such as new ambassadors to Ethiopia, Morocco, Egypt, and Guinea, were also revealed in the statement.

She graduated from US colleges with degrees in political science and international affairs.

The other two kids of President Kagame are both employed by the state. Ivan Kagame, his eldest son, was nominated to the Rwandan Development Board in 2020 with the responsibility of accelerating economic growth through the private sector.

Ian, the third-born child, is an officer in the Rwandan Defence Force and joined the presidential guard last year.
