PawaTech Group, a gaming technology and services provider, has reached a four-year licensing deal with Choplife Gaming to expand BetPawa, the top sports betting brand in Africa, into Nigeria.
A statement released by the company on Tuesday implied that “this is an extension of a successful partnership that has positioned betPawa in top positions in markets like Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Benin, and Ghana, where the brand is licensed to Choplife.”
Choplife Gaming has reaffirmed its intention to work with BetPawa using the upfront license fee model by recently acquiring the rights for Nigeria. There are presently six markets in which Choplife Gaming operates after this model was expanded to the five other current markets over the next four years.
Kresten Buch, the Executive Chairman of PawaTech Group, stated, “We are thrilled about Choplife Gaming’s willingness to co-invest in the Nigerian market with us, as we have worked with them successfully in other markets.”
“We’re excited about that partnership. With its successful fintech, mobile money, and rapid payments solutions, our platform—which is intended to offer the greatest digital gaming experience—will be further improved for Nigeria, helping to propel the country’s digital economy forward,” Buch stated.
As a top online gambling company today, betPawa serves 17 African markets and offers users a quick, easy, and fun platform. It is backed by an entertaining selection of virtual, casino, and sports betting games that make betting easy.
Oluwatosin “Mr Eazi” Ajibade, the chairman of Choplife Gaming, stated:
“As we increase our presence in the vibrant Nigerian market, we are ecstatic about this exciting collaboration with PawaTech Group, which represents a significant turning point for Choplife Gaming.
“I have a particular place in my heart for this chance because I am a Nigerian. Having worked in a variety of Nigerian industries, I have personally witnessed the incredible energy and entrepreneurial spirit that characterise this country. We can expand our business and support the thriving gaming industry in my motherland by partnering with PawaTech Group as co-investors.
“We are excited to use this collaboration to introduce cutting-edge gaming solutions to Nigeria and beyond.”
