On Sunday evening, Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Yemi Alade performed at the first-ever Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony at the Alexandra Palace, and we were all taken aback.
At the ceremony, the singer performed a stunning rendition of her hit single “Rain,” dressed in a stunning red Ankara playsuit, her natural hairstyle and simple makeup finished off her look perfectly.
At the event in London, Yemi Alade also met with members of the royal family, Prince Williams, Duchess Kate.
Also in attendance were Mohammed Salah, Danni Alves, David Oyelowo, Emma Thompson amongst other top government officials.
The exclusive and globally broadcast event was organized by the Royal Foundation, which is led by Prince William of the British royal family and recognizes innovative solutions to the world’s environmental challenges.
