The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Commissioner has ordered an immediate investigation into the death of crossdresser and Tik Tok creator, ‘Abuja Area Mama’.
The crossdresser was found dead on Thursday in the Mabushi area of the FCT.
According to Spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, a distress call was received about an unidentified person lying motionless along the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway.
When detectives arrived at the scene, they discovered that the deceased was a man dressed in female clothing without any form of identification.
“In response to a distress call received by the Command Control Room that an unidentified lady was seen lying motionless along Katampe – Mabushi express way, a team of detectives were immediately dispatched to the scene,” Adeh said.
The body was taken to Maitama District Hospital, where doctors confirmed that he had died.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the individual was a man fully dressed in female clothing with no means of identification on him. He was immediately taken to Maitama District Hospital where doctors on duty confirmed him dead.
“The Commissioner of Police, FCT, has promptly ordered a thorough and discreet investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Updates on this matter will be communicated in due course,’’ Adeh disclosed.
The death of ‘Abuja Area Mama’ comes just days after another well-known crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, was released from jail after serving a six-month sentence for mutilating the naira.
