President Muhammadu Buhari congratulated the Atlas Lions of Morocco and the country’s leader, King Mohammed the VI, for becoming the first team from an African country to ever make it to the World Cup semi-finals.
President Buhari says that the skill and hard work of the Atlas Lions made the whole continent proud and given people hope that an African team can and should win the current world championship in Qatar.
President Buhari praises the Morocco players for their skill and ability to work as a team. He also says that this wouldn’t have been possible if the Moroccan government hadn’t put together a strong team.
