President Bola Tinubu has directed the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Mamman Ahmadu, to resign.
According to the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale on Saturday, Ahmadu’s resignation is in line with broader reorganisation effort in the public procurement system aimed at enhancing the agency’s efficiency and transparency.
Tinubu instructed Ahmadu to hand over to the most senior officer in the Bureau until a new Director-General is appointed.
The statement added, “The President thanks Ahmadu for his services and wishes him success in his future endeavours.”
