President Bola Tinubu is holding the first meeting with governors of the 36 states of Nigeria under the aegis of Nigeria Governors’Forum (NGF), at the State House, Abuja.
The meeting which commenced at about 12:40pm had in attendance Governors of Abia, Imo, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Zamfara, Kano, Taraba, Ebonyi, Lagos, Rivers, Osun, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Kogi, Ogun, Nasarawa, Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Oyo, Plateau, Kebbi, and Bauchi. Niger and Edo were represented by their state deputy Governors.
Governors of Anambra, Ekiti, Katsina, Sokoto, Kaduna, Gombe, Borno, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Ondo state were yet to arrive before the meeting commenced.
Also in attendance are Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
President Tinubu had last Friday received Governors from his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), known as the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) at the State House, Abuja.
