President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially inaugurated Senator Bola Tinubu Drive at Sam Mbakwe Cargo International Airport, Imo State, Nigeria.
Governor Hope Uzodinma, during his first tenure, expanded the newly commissioned 10-kilometre road from two lanes to four lanes with side lighting, extending from Owerri-Aba Road to the airport.
President Tinubu arrived at Dee Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri at approximately 1:19 p.m. local time on Monday. Upon arrival, the Nigerian leader received a salute from the guards of honour.
The President was welcomed by dignitaries including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio, Deputy President of the Senate Barau Jibrin, and others.
Notable governors and ministers present were Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Alex Otti (Abia), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Rev. Ft Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Governor Nasir Idris (Sokoto), Ahmad Sokoto, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology Uche Nnaji, Former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, and Hon. Uche Ekwunife.
Accompanied by his principal private secretary, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, and other close aides, President Tinubu proceeded to the Dan Anyiam Stadium to participate in the Inauguration ceremony.
