President Tinubu Inaugurates Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy, Tax Reforms (News Central TV)

The Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms was established by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The inauguration ceremony was held at the State House on Tuesday.

The group was established by the president, according to a statement released by Dele Alake, Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy.

According to Alake, Taiwo Oyedele, a Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, would preside over the group.

There are professionals on the committee from both the public and private sectors. The committee will be in charge of a number of tasks related to tax law revisions, the creation and coordination of fiscal policies, the harmonization of taxes, and revenue administration.

The President acknowledged the significance of a solid fiscal policy environment and an efficient taxation system for the operation of the government and the economy, according to Adelabu Adedeji, special adviser to the president on revenue.

Adedeji stated that the committee will support the present administration’s comprehensive fiscal policy and tax reform agenda by driving the implementation of such proposals in addition to advising the government on essential improvements.
