President Tinubu Reiterates Commitment to National Unity and Security

Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, underscores his dedication to fostering a united and secure Nigeria. He emphasises his administration’s focus on prioritising education and healthcare while fostering an environment conducive to industrialisation and investments. President Tinubu envisions an economically stable and prosperous country.

Speaking at the second-term inauguration of Governor Hope Uzodimma in Imo State on Monday, the Nigerian leader assured citizens that he is attentive to their concerns. He acknowledges the challenges brought about by essential reforms and assures the public that these issues are currently being addressed.

“In the past 40 years, a few people were cornering our commonwealth, and calling it subsidy, but I call it wasteful. Right now, we are all bearing and sharing that pain. But things are looking up. Things will get better for the good of all Nigerians. With me, there is hope.

“I assure you that there will be substantial development in education for your children; priority on industrialisation; healthcare will receive more allocation and attention. We will train more health workers,” assures the president.

President Tinubu commends Governor Uzodimma for his leadership in Imo State, referring to him as the “real hope” of the state. He recognises the peace and security in the state, highlighting the importance of unity, cooperation, and a focus on internal security.

The President urges Governor Hope Uzodinma to redouble efforts for the people, emphasising that hard work is the reward for reelection. He concludes, “I assure you that your hopes are renewed. Be assured of the support of the federal government to ensure rapid development of your state.”

Following the administration of oaths of office, Governor Uzodinma pledges that his second tenure will be marked by uncommon policies. He outlines priorities for the next four years, focusing on deepening shared prosperity through massive infrastructural expansion. The governor envisions a 10-year development plan to make the state self-sufficient.

The swearing-in ceremony of Governor Hope Uzodinma witnesses the presence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and other prominent members of the National Assembly. Members of the Nigerian Governors Forum, the All Progressives Congress party National Chairman, and other party stalwarts at the national and state levels, as well as royal fathers from across Nigeria, also attended the event.
