President Bola Tinubu has assented to the minimum wage bill, effectively ending months of negotiations between government officials, labour unions, and the private sector.
The bill, which sets the minimum wage at N70,000 per month, was passed by the National Assembly, paving the way for President Tinubu to sign it into law at the State House in Abuja on Monday.
During the historic signing, a delegation from the National Assembly, including President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio and several members of the House of Representatives, gathered to witness the occasion.
