Kenya’s President, William Ruto, is scheduled to deliver a national address at 9pm from State House Nairobi on Tuesday, June 2025.
The address follows a tumultuous day marked by chaos as anti-Finance Bill protesters breached Parliament Building, vandalising furniture and breaking windows of the August House.
Amnesty Kenya reported that during the protests, five people were fatally shot, and 31 others sustained injuries. Among the injured, 13 were struck by live bullets, four by rubber bullets, and three by launcher canisters, while 11 sustained minor injuries.
