Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will be required to close part of the Parc des Princes for their Ligue 1 match against Toulouse next month, following homophobic chants by fans during a recent game.
The incident occurred on 19 October during PSG’s 4-2 victory over Strasbourg, when fans directed chants at Marseille midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot, who played for PSG from 2012 to 2019, joined Marseille on a free transfer in September after leaving Juventus.
Eight days later, PSG defeated Marseille 3-0 at the Stade Velodrome.
In response, the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) announced that PSG must close the Auteuil stand, where many ultras typically gather.
However, this restriction will not take effect until 5 November, allowing PSG’s upcoming match against Lens to proceed as usual.
PSG will enforce the stand closure when Toulouse visits on 22 November.
This sanction follows previous penalties, as four PSG players received one-match suspensions last season for participating in offensive chants after a win over Marseille.
