This follows a court case brought by opposition lawmaker Allan Makharm after the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) refused to provide him with a copy of the election results he requested in October of last year.

The lawmaker stated that the electronic version was perfect for inspection because the printed version would be inconvenient and costly for him.

However, the Harare High Court ruled on Tuesday that the voters’ roll was too sensitive to be released to the public without addressing Zec’s security worries.
