Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris (News Central TV)

As part of its Ramadan feeding programme, the Kebbi State government has finalised plans to distribute food staples at designated mosques approved by Governor Nasir Idris.

While fielding questions from reporters in his office in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, the commissioner for religious affairs, Muhammed Sani Aliyu, said Governor Idris had offered bags of grains to the committees for distribution to the public.

According to him, 9 mosques were reserved in each of the 20 local government areas for their packages in the first 10 days, another three mosques in the second 10 days, and three mosques in the last 10 days of Ramadan respectively.

However, in the state capital, 16 mosques are earmarked for the distribution of the packages, according to the Commissioner.

Aliyu enjoined recipients to exercise patience as there will be an equitable distribution of the packages.

He also applauded the governor for approving the amendment in the feeding system, which according to him, would record a significant success.
