Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Mike Edwards and his wife Perri Edwards have welcomed their first baby on Wednesday, August 26, 2020
The first runner up of BBN Season 4- pepper dem season, gave a very good first impression on stage when he revealed he was married to Perri Edwards; a TV personality, Olympian, and an Ambassador for Nike London.
A lot of people were thrilled and amazed that the reality TV star didn’t get involved in extramarital affairs with anyone in the house, though he was in the house for 91 days. He got married to the love of his life few weeks before he was admitted into Big Brother house. Mike stayed in the BBN house until the final day.
Viewers of the reality TV show were not shocked when Mike and Perry announced on their YouTube channel that they were expecting their first child. The subsequent episodes told the sex and showed the life of the first time pregnant Olympian.
On the 18th of August, Perri took to her Instagram to share beautiful pictures of herself and husband at their baby shower.
Barely two days ago, happy Perri shared pictures and a video of herself dancing to ”The Baby Momma Dance” song, implying in her caption that her baby will be coming anytime soon.
Neither Perri nor Mike have shared the news of their bundle of Joy, but Doctor and active social media user known as Drtj_ who is known for giving Big Brother Naija News and updates shared and revealed the news on his Instagram page.
Mike is a family man, and this is evident in the way he treats his fellow big brother Naija ex housemates, always having their back, and quick to give them pieces of advice when needed and necessary, even while in Big Brother house. Countless times, Mike spoke about his wife in a loving manner, and how she has always had his back when he had nothing, and that is why he would continue to treat her like the queen that she is.
Perri who came to Nigeria few days before the end of Big brother season 4, went on media rounds with her husband, and modelled at 2019’s Lagos, Fashion and Design week.
Mike attested to the fact that he had to leave Nigeria for the UK to go meet his then pregnant wife just before they stopped international and local flights due to the Covid 19 pandemic, and the lockdown. He also said he could not imagine being away from his then pregnant wife while faced with all the pregnancy tantrums and pains.
Going by the gender reveal party they held couple of months back, the couple were expecting a baby boy.
