The reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, has returned to office and instructed his staff to do the same. He added that those who have not yet returned to work must do so or face consequences, citing the Federal High Court’s ruling that his office had never been vacant.
He warned banks against conducting transactions with his office without his consent.
He also expressed sadness over the killing of a police officer attached to the Edo APC governorship candidate for the September 21 election.
Shaibu said that upon returning to the office, he formally requested that the state governor reinstate his aides. However, he has not yet received a response to this request for approval.
