Emergency responders have rescued a child who had been trapped in the debris after a building collapsed in Kiambu, central Kenya.
Kiambu county Governor Kimani Wamatangi said many others have also been rescued alive after a six-storey building came down.
“Sadly, some are feared to have succumbed to their injuries,” he added.
Although three persons have been confirmed dead, the cause of the collapse is yet to be established. The building was reportedly under construction.
Eyewitnesses said it fell on an adjacent building as it came down.
