Political economist and one-time Presidential hopeful, Utomi believes Northern Nigeria will also reap benefits if the country is restructured.
Utomi, speaking on an episode of Village Square Africa on Pan-African channel, News Central TV, said the North will be more productive and self-sustaining if it supports the restructuring of Nigeria.
In the discourse centred around the 2023 election, he remarked that Nigeria needs a leader who will bring the discordant parts of the country together and also help improve the country.
Also on the show, Dr Kachi Ononuju, Director General of the Heritage Centre weighed in on the current state of the nation and made passionate remarks on how to bring Nigeria together again as one. He said the North has to be fixed for Nigeria to progress and called on the leadership to fix the security challenges in the country.
He blames the government of the day for its complacent role in the current state of the nation and advised that issues be approached objectively, without nepotism.
