Rihanna once again stole the spotlight at the Met Gala, using fashion’s biggest night to reveal she is expecting her third child with rapper A$AP Rocky.
The 37-year-old singer and Fenty Beauty mogul made headlines even before stepping onto the red carpet. A striking portrait posted on Instagram by photographer Miles Diggs captured Rihanna in a bold, dapper-inspired ensemble, in line with the gala’s Black dandy theme. Her outfit—a tailored gray Miu Miu blouse paired with a matching skirt, fur stole, knee-high boots, and a sleek black cloche hat—framed her prominently visible baby bump.
The surprise announcement was later confirmed by A$AP Rocky, who is serving as one of the gala’s co-chairs this year. Speaking with reporters at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the rapper acknowledged the congratulations being offered, confirming the couple’s growing family.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” the rapper said. “I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy.”
In true Rihanna fashion, the superstar made a dramatic, last-to-arrive entrance at the 2025 Met Gala, confirming the pregnancy news she had already teased earlier in the evening.

Dressed in a deconstructed black outfit featuring a cropped jacket, bold polka-dot accessories, and a wide-brimmed hat, Rihanna walked the red carpet cradling her visible baby bump and flashing smiles for the cameras. Her fashion-forward look blended theatrical flair with elegance, fitting for one of the most anticipated red carpet moments of the night.
This marks the second time the music and fashion icon has used a major stage to reveal a pregnancy. In 2023, she famously unveiled her baby bump during her Super Bowl halftime performance, later appearing at that year’s Met Gala while expecting.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are already parents to two sons: RZA, born in May 2022, and Riot, born in August 2023. Their growing family now makes room for a third.
She joins a recent trend of high-profile pregnancy reveals at the Met Gala. Serena Williams debuted her baby bump at last year’s event, while model Karlie Kloss has now done so in both 2023 and 2025.
