Rising FX Supply Boosts Naira's Value Against Dollar

The naira saw an increase in value against the dollar on Tuesday in the official foreign exchange (FX) market.

Data from FMDQ revealed that the naira gained at N1630.35 per dollar on Tuesday, up from N1670.65 on Monday. This marks an appreciation of N40.3.

On the other hand, in the black market, the naira fell further to N1748 per dollar on Tuesday compared to N1746 traded the day before.

This change follows a rise in FX transaction turnover to $242.59 million on Tuesday, up from $81.17 million on Monday, when the naira declined.
