Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will hold its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on September 12, 2024.
The announcement followed the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday. The NEC is the second-highest decision-making body of the party, after the national convention.
During a press briefing, the APC Deputy National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter, flanked by other NWC members, stated that the APC National Caucus would meet on September 11, a day before the NEC meeting.
He also mentioned that the NWC resolved to recognise the Chief Tony Okocha-led caretaker committee of the party in Rivers State and described the judgement that sacked the committee on Monday as an abuse of court processes.
