Russian authorities have released footage of a 28-year-old American man who was arrested at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport for allegedly carrying cannabis-laced gummy sweets.
The man, identified as Calob Wayne Bayers according to a transliteration from Cyrillic, was detained on Friday after arriving from Istanbul.
The Russian court system published a video on Telegram showing Bayers, a bearded young man in a white shirt, behind bars.
Officials claim a service dog detected something suspicious in his luggage, leading customs officers to discover two plastic jars and a zip bag containing the gummies.
The chemical analysis reportedly confirmed the presence of cannabis derivatives.

Russian media reported that Bayers told authorities the gummies were medically prescribed in the US and necessary for travel.
His arrest follows previous high-profile detentions of Americans in Russia, including basketball star Brittney Griner, who was later swapped for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout in a prisoner exchange.
The latest arrest comes over ongoing tensions between Moscow and Washington, just days after US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly spoke about resolving the Ukraine conflict.
