Saad Lamjarred’s Alleged Rape Trial Begins at Paris Assize Court (News Central TV)

Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred is scheduled to appear before the Paris Assize court today for the alleged rape of French national Laura Prioul.

Prioul filed a lawsuit against the artist in October 2016, accusing him of rape. Lamjarred’s trial will commence today to determine his involvement in the case.

Despite the accusations, Lamjarred’s lawyers have been denying all claims made against the artist. Prioul is one of several women who accused the singer of rape and claimed that he also physically assaulted her.

Lamjarred’s lawyers have been appealing the court’s ruling to avoid a lawsuit. In 2016, Lamjarred was arrested in France following Prioul’s lawsuit and was later released on bail in April 2017.

Despite the allegations, Lamjarred remains a popular artist and continues to perform at concerts worldwide. His latest song, “El Hala’,” has garnered 45 million views since its release five months ago.

In September 2022, the singer announced his marriage to his best friend Ghita El Allaki, and photos from the wedding went viral.
