Sadio Mane was injured in the record champions’ penultimate Bundesliga match of 2022 on November 8th.

The 30-year-old was still named to Senegal’s World Cup team in the expectation that he would be fit for the latter rounds of the groups, but he ultimately missed the tournament after additional testing confirmed that surgery was required.

Sadio Mane was able to finish his first jogging session with decreased body weight at Bayern’s performance center on January 10 after a successful procedure to repair a tendon in the head of his right fibula.
