Salah Hints at Liverpool Exit After Old Trafford Victory

Mohamed Salah has hinted that this may be his final season at Liverpool after leading his team to a commanding 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday. Salah, who has less than a year left on his contract, revealed that no discussions have taken place regarding a renewal.

The Egyptian star has been a key figure since his arrival at Anfield in 2017, scoring 214 goals and becoming the club’s all-time top scorer against Manchester United, with his latest strike marking his 15th against the Red Devils.

“I had a good summer and had a long time to myself to stay positive because, as you know, it’s my last year at the club,” Salah told Sky Sports. “I just want to enjoy it and not think about it. I feel like I’m free to play football, and then we’ll see what happens next year.”

Salah also hinted that his appearance at Old Trafford could be his last, further fueling speculation about his future. Despite his success, Salah has been consistently linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, with reports of a rejected £150 million bid from Al-Ittihad last year.

On the pitch, the Red’s new manager, Arne Slot, has made an impressive start, leading the team to three consecutive Premier League victories without conceding a goal. Salah played a crucial role in the win over United, setting up two goals for Luis Diaz and scoring one himself.

Slot, however, remained tight-lipped about Salah’s future, stating, “It’s a lot of if, but for the moment, he is one of ours, and I’m really, really happy with him being one of ours.”

With Salah’s future uncertain, fans will be hoping for one more season of brilliance from the Egyptian before he possibly bids farewell to Anfield.
