Salah, Mane Make PFA Player of the Year Nominations

Liverpool’s African duo of Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane have been nominated for the single biggest individual award for players in the Premier League.

Salah, Egyptian and Mane, Senegalese have both had great individual seasons but have also tasted some disappointment.

Liverpool missed out on the Premier League title despite holding Manchester City down till the last day but did enough to win a domestic cup double.

Both players starred at different periods of the season, and were foremost oppositions many times outside their club this year.

Mane’s Senegal had pipped Salah and Egypt to the AFCON earlier in the year before piling more misery on his teammate when they beat them to the World Cup ticket.

Other nominees for the PFA Player of the Year, voted for by players in the league are; Virgil Van Dijk also of Liverpool, Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

Both Salah and Mane are being touted to leave Anfield this summer with Mane already suggested to have agreed a deal with Bayern Munich after six successful years at the red half of Merseyside.

Salah is also yet to agree to a new contract, with suggestions that he may be looking to leave the Reds.
