American actress Scarlett Johansson wants to remind everyone that even though superheroes are frequently seen as unbeatable, some heroes require a farewell.
In a Tuesday interview with InStyle, the “Lost In Translation” star talked about the constant enquiries about her character Natasha Romanoff, also known as The Black Widow, who passed away on-screen in 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame,” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
“Natasha has passed away. She’s no longer alive. She’s gone. All right?,” she said to the newspaper.
For those who are keeping count, her character, a highly talented assassin, was a vital member of the Avengers, a superhero team that sacrificed her life to obtain an Infinity Stone that finally destroyed the extraterrestrial supervillain Thanos and saved the universe.

There has been a lot of conjecture around Natasha’s possible comeback to the franchise as Marvel prepares for the next stage of the movie universe, which starts with “Fantastic Four: First Steps” this summer.
Johansson quickly rules out the rumour.
“They’re simply unwilling to accept it. “But she could come back!” they said, she told the magazine. “Look, it seems to me that she is holding the entire universe in balance.”
“We will have to let it go,” she continued. “She prevented the world from ending. Let her enjoy her moment of heroism.”
With 2026’s “Avengers: Doomsday,” which will include Robert Downey Jr.’s comeback to the MCU but not as Iron Man, who he has played in nine films since 2008, a redesigned Avengers lineup will make their premiere. He’ll be portraying the villainous Dr. Doom.
