A former student, Audrey Hale opened fire at a school in Nashville, Tennessee, in the US, killing six people including three pupils and three members of staff.

Three of the victims were Covenant School students who were nine years old or younger. Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney were identified by the police.

The adult victims were identified as Cynthia Peak, 61, Mike Hill, 61, and Katherine Koonce, 60. There are approximately 200 students at the private Christian school.

Authorities identified the culprit as transgender individual Audrey Hale, 28. Hale was shot and killed by police while carrying three weapons, one of which was a semi-automatic rifle.

The first report of the event was sent to the police on Monday at 10:13 local time. He arrived at the school in a Honda Fit and entered the building through one of the locked school entrances.

Hale is shown in a subsequent video released by Nashville police strolling past a room with the label “Children’s Ministry” after entering the school by breaking the glass panes on the front doors with a revolver.

In the CCTV clip, Hale is seen carrying an assault-style rifle in one hand and wearing what appears to be a protective vest. A second, identical weapon is also shown hanging from Hale’s left hip.

When the cops came, the shooter was firing at them from the second level. Hale moved to the second floor of the building after firing rounds from the ground floor.
