The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that seven people were injured in a crash involving a Volkswagen commercial bus, and a Toyota Camry on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway on Friday night.
Unit Commander, Mr William Manga, stated in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Badagry, that the accident happened at around 11:10 p.m. at Sawmill Bus Stop, Ibereko.

Manga said FRSC personnel were alerted at 11:15 p.m. and arrived at the scene within seven minutes.
According to the Unit Commander, the crash involved a Volkswagen commercial bus, registered as AGL 867 YA, which lost control while making a U-turn and collided head-on with a Toyota Camry, registered as KRD 232 HD, coming from Mile 2.
“24 persons were involved in the accident with four men and three women sustained varying degrees of injury,” he said, adding that the injured were taken to Care General Hospital in Badagry for treatment.
Manga attributed the crash to dangerous driving. The two vehicles were moved to Mowo Police Station in Badagry. He urged drivers to obey traffic regulations, avoid speeding, and not overload their vehicles.
