The current season of Big Brother Naija reality TV show saw the introduction of a new twist known as “Wildcard”.
At the second launch show of the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition on Sunday, Biggie said there ought to be 20 housemates like last season, but 22 were ushered into the house, which includes the wildcards.
These wildcards are two fake housemates that are to be identified by their colleagues, in order to get them evicted during the eviction show next Sunday. However, if the housemates fail to figure out who the wildcards are;
- They will remain in the house and become eligible to compete for the N90million grand prize.
- They will be given exclusive power to nominate next Monday.

During the diary session on Thursday, 29th July 2021, Big Brother revealed the identity of the 2 wildcards of season 6 to viewers. They are – Pere and Maria!
