At an event in Freetown honoring world renowned primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Agriculture, Joseph Ndanema, declares the western chimpanzee a “national animal,” along with announcing several measures aimed at boosting conservation efforts.
