At least six people were killed and over 100 abducted by gunmen in Tudun Doki, Gwadabawa, LGA, Sokoto State, Northwest Nigeria on Sunday.
The attack was confirmed by Ahmed Rufai, the official spokesman for the Sokoto police.
He said information concerning the attack was sketchy adding that the Divisional Police Officer attached to Gwadabawa had led a team of policemen to restore normalcy and assess the situation.
“Six dead bodies were recovered by a search team and effort is still ongoing to recover other missing persons,” the police spokesman said.
Some villagers who narrated the ordeal said about 7 gunmen attacked the community around 1:30 am. They killed anyone they spotted before abducting many.
