South Africa Bathabile Dlamini Perjury Case Postponed to March (News Central TV)

The perjury trial of South Africa’s former Social Development Minister, Bathabile Dlamini, has been postponed until March 9.

She faces perjury charges for allegedly giving false evidence during an inquiry into her role in the 2017 social grants crisis.

Bathabile Dlamini, who pleaded not guilty to Johannesburg Magistrate Court, began an application for discharge after prosecutors annulled the case in November 2021.

The State however insists she lied under oath and says she should be prosecuted.
