Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng of South Africa’s Supreme Court has written to former South African President, Jacob Zuma, giving him until Wednesday to propose an appropriate sentence if he is found guilty in no more than 15 pages.
Zuma has until today, Wednesday, to suggest what sentence he should be given in a marked deviation from the standard rule book.
It is still unclear if Jacob Zuma will honour the directive as the 79-year-old former SouthAfrican President has repeatedly snubbed a judicial panel investigating allegations of graft during his nine-year rule.
