The relaunch of the Soweto Fashion Week held at the Soweto Theatre on Friday night, after a two-year break.
The theme for Soweto Fashion Week 2022 is seasonal wear, which encompasses garments that can be worn throughout the year.
The annual fashion show was halted two years ago due to Covid-19 pandemic. Models, fashion designers and spectators can now partake in the event once again.
On Friday, six designers displayed a range of upcoming designers to some well-known names in the industry like Elias Sibata. There will be a showing of a children’s clothing range.
The fashion event, which prides itself on uplifting home-grown designers, is back in South Africa’s biggest city.
