Keanu Reeves, star of “John Wick,” is believed to have had three watches stolen from his Los Angeles home in late 2023, including a $9,000 Rolex, according to Chilean police.
During a police investigation Friday in eastern Santiago connected to a string of local thefts, the Rolex Submariner watch—engraved with the actor’s initial name and the lines, “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five”—was found.
Reeves allegedly gave the stuntmen he collaborated with on “John Wick: Chapter 4” Rolex Submariners in 2021.
The Rolex website states that the watch costs about $9,000.
Ironically, Reeves’ character, a former hitman, seeks retribution at the beginning of the “John Wick” story when his house is broken into, robbed, and his dog is slain.
During raids on four homes, Chilean authorities reported finding jewellery and “valuable” watches, at least one of which “belonged to a prominent actor who was a victim of a robbery in Los Angeles in December 2023.”
Three watches that were found during the raids are said to belong to the actor, according to CNN Chile, which cited local police. It stated that the collaboration between Chilean and US police on the case had enabled them to connect the watch to the actor’s home theft in 2023.
According to the police, a male of 21 has been taken into custody.
Several home robberies have targeted the actor. His house was allegedly broken into twice in three days in 2014.
